MY EXPERIENCE'S DURING THE COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH (THEMATIC OUTPUT)

Image
Conducting research came with a lot of  challenges, but exploring our communities and places in the Sitio San Gregorio of Barangay Cabittaogan was a  enjoyable experience. We did not simply sit back, but we made an effort to get a  brief look of what was happening around us, and that was done through taking photographs, videos, documenting, and taking several interviews with the  local's in cabittaogan . This was not only fulfilling for the research itself, but it was a great feeling having so much in common with my  groupmates. like enjoying the sceneries in our community.   Prioritizing  out this specific research, I was shy in socializing with other people at first but i find out that their will be my groupmates. I felt happy and excited.to work with them.  I was quite hesitant to tell my thoughts in discussion. However, having everyone discuss the same purpose research, and all having a collective goal made me more confident...

MY JOURNEY THIS 3RD QUARTER

Image
What are the learning/discoveries that I have gained? I have learned a important topics this quarter.  It was a really educational quarter for me. I gained knowledge about HTML TABLES, HTML FRAMES, HTML LIST, HTML LIST FILE, HTML FRAMES FILE, and Community-Based Research, first and foremost. We also engage in a number of really thrilling and fun events throughout the third quarter. During this period, I also learn a great deal of stuff. In addition, I've made a number of discoveries; studying was enjoyable despite a few issues that made it both fascinating and frustrating. I want to make excellent use of both this knowledge and my findings in the future .  What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered? I've had some difficulty with the hands-on tasks in HTML Lists throughout the third quarter, and I'm not happy with my quiz scores. My group members were quite involved; therefore, we didn't have many problems with community-based research. Since it w...

The Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year is celebrated vigorously and with great importance not just in China, but across the globe. In the Philippines, which has a deeply rooted history with Chinese culture, many of the Filipinos cherish the celebrations. But why? The answer is rooted in cross-cultural interactions that happened overtime. Most Filipino-Chinese families usually clean their homes thoroughly, prepare lucky money in red envelopes, serve sweet foods and display various food and fruits on a table, which is believed to invite good fortune. A Look Back at This City's Transition: The Cityhood of Vigan

Image
Vigan, before being granted the status of a City, was buzzing with life as a municipality in Ilocos Sur. However, Vigan’s appeal as a city and as a municipality is rooted in shedding light in the deep seated culture and history that lies within its borders. One can easily visualize the airy clip clop of horse drawn carriages filling the cobblestone streets turning into the echoing sounds of daily life, while the sea breeze embraces the town through mouthwatering scents of freshly fried empanadas. The heart of the municipality was alive in every sense, whether it be through the rich traditions that encompass the people or their firm attachment to the land. The spirit and identity of a city is oftentimes difficult to grasp, but Vigan proves to be an uncanny exception. From stunning culture to tightly woven history, Vigan has it all and this period undoubtedly laid its foundation. It is the convenient lively spirit of this town that allows modern day citizens to transcend back in time and...
